Who we are

VertPilot is operated by an independent developer established in Romania, referred to as "VertPilot", "we" or "us". The operator's full legal identity and address are available on request through the contact form.

Acceptance

By using the VertPilot mobile app, the VertPilot watch data field or the vertpilot.com website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use VertPilot.

What VertPilot does

VertPilot helps endurance athletes, runners of any distance and cyclists, plan and execute fueling and strategy for training sessions and races. Depending on your plan, it builds a per-hour carbohydrate, fluid and sodium plan for a session or a race, sends it to a compatible sports watch as a data field that prompts you during the activity, records what you consumed, and lets you review the race afterwards. Paid features add AI-generated personalised plans, race-week nutrition guidance, route analysis and race strategy.

Features ship incrementally. The app tells you what is available in your plan.

Not medical or safety advice

Fueling, hydration, pacing and strategy guidance in VertPilot, including anything produced by AI, is general information based on the data you provide. It is not medical, dietary or professional advice and it does not know your medical history. Consult a qualified professional before changing your nutrition, especially if you have a medical condition, an eating disorder history, or take medication.

Endurance running and cycling, in the mountains above all, carry real risks: heat, cold, altitude, dehydration, hyponatraemia, exhaustion, injury. You are solely responsible for your safety, for following race rules and organiser instructions, and for every decision you make during training and racing. Never rely on a watch prompt or an app plan over how your body feels or over medical staff.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old. You sign in with a Google or Apple account; we do not store passwords. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your device secure.

Your data and content

You own the data you enter or import: your athlete profile, races, plans, logs and any watch data you choose to connect. You grant us a limited licence to store and process it in order to provide the service to you. How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

Free features and subscriptions

  • The watch data field and basic plan features are free.
  • AI features and other premium features require a subscription bought on vertpilot.com. Subscriptions are not sold inside the mobile app or through app stores.
  • Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, LLC as merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy issues the invoice, collects applicable VAT and handles refunds under its terms and the consumer laws that apply to you, including the 14-day right of withdrawal for EU consumers where it applies.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your Lemon Squeezy customer portal; access continues to the end of the paid period.
  • Prices are shown before purchase and may change for future periods with notice.

Watch and third-party services

The watch data field runs on compatible watches through the manufacturer's app platform and is subject to that platform's terms. VertPilot is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any watch manufacturer, race organiser or nutrition brand. Product names of fueling products you log belong to their owners.

Acceptable use

  • Use VertPilot lawfully and only for your own training and racing.
  • Do not reverse engineer, scrape, overload or interfere with the service or its APIs.
  • Do not share your account or resell access.

Termination

You can stop using VertPilot and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or misuse. If we discontinue the service, we will give reasonable notice and refunds for any unused prepaid period will be handled through Lemon Squeezy.

Disclaimers and liability

VertPilot is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, accuracy of estimates or plans, or that the service fits your goals. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for injury or health outcomes arising from decisions you make, or for data loss. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law or your mandatory consumer rights.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence and may use the EU online dispute resolution platform.

Changes

We may update these Terms. When changes are material, the app asks you to accept the new version before you continue. The effective date at the top tells you which version you are reading.
